A well-organized freezer with some staple food is the key to save your time.
This article will learn about 8 staple foods that you can freeze to make ahead meals and save your time.

When I apprise you that you can freeze anything you want, it means anything! Anything from fresh produce to pre-made meals or leftovers from the last night.

Here are some staple foods that you can freeze and use to make ahead meal without any second thought!

Spinach
Spinach is one of the leafy green vegetables that you can freeze quickly to make ahead meals. It is great to make smoothies, soup, stock, dips, quiches, and several pasta meals.

When you buy spinach at the start of the week, but you feel that it can’t last long for the weekend, you can simply freeze it for later use.

Avocados
Avocados are known for being overripe overnight. So, what to do with these overripe brown avocadoes?

No worries!

You can simply slice them and freeze them in halves or quarters chunks.

Here is a little tip to prevent avocadoes from browning:

Brush avocados with a bit of lemon juice. And when you need to use the avocado, simply bring it to room temperature for about 30 minutes and use them.

Meat
Any type of meat, whether cooked, uncooked, or fresh, can be quickly frozen. So, you can keep raw or fresh meat for last-minute dinners and just for the convenience of not running to the store.

You can also easily store cooked meat; just make sure that beef is cooled enough before freezing and place it in an airtight container.

Berries
If you buy fresh berries from the supermarket and want to store them later, you can go for it. No need for any preservatives like sodium or salt.

Simply grab them, wash thoroughly, take the stem off and freeze!

Bananas
Buy fresh and ripe bananas to freeze them for later use.

You can use freeze bananas in making smoothies, pancakes, or skewers. Just make sure to peel them and store them in a plastic bag.

Eggs
Eggs can also be stored in the freezer for later use. If you have a recipe that requires egg yolk or white, only you can freeze the part you didn’t use.

Feel free to freeze the remaining thing after cracking the eggs and storing them in an airtight container.

Bread
Bread is one of the staple foods that can be quickly frozen.

Sea food
Just like meat, seafood can also be frozen for ahead use. You just need to wrap it tightly before tossing it in the freezer.

When you are ready to use it, thaw in the fridge or under cool water.

Halloween Festival

🎃 Halloween Festival 🍂

On Sunday October the 24th was the annual Halloween Festival, where hundreds of Kentucky citizens goes to see and admire the Parade, Food, and Other Entertainment!

Besides the rising number of covid-19 cases Lexington, KY still managed to have the annual Halloween CELABERATION!

The past year was hard on everyone but as the United States races to come up with a full proof vaccine and other underlying issues in America, I think it's finally good that people are starting to get into the new norm while still being safe while having a good time. So please I encourage others with interest to find a red jacket and join the party in the years to come.

The evening’s festivities also included a Halloween variety show, with performances by Lexington-area arts groups.

There was a verity of food venders as well including: Go, go burgers, Sam's Hotdog Stand, Hot Buns Food Truck, and more, I personally went to Go, go burgers. I ordered the Burden BBQ Burger.

To live a healthy life, getting enough essential minerals and vitamins is essential as they are crucial for optimal mental and physical health.

Therefore, if you are looking for vitamins and minerals that boost your focus and concentration, this blog post is for you.

Here is the list of minerals and vitamins that are crucial for overall health.

Vitamin C

There is a direct link between Vitamin C concentration and mental functionality. A recent cross-sectional analysis published in the peer-reviewed journal of Nutrition explored the link between Vitamin C and mental function.

Vitamin C is the central part of producing neurotransmitter norepinephrine- which controls the attention and response actions. Therefore, Vitamin C helps in focusing better indirectly.

It also protects against oxidative stresses, like alcohol, medications, and stress.

Vitamin C is easily found in Blueberries, Kale, Chili Peppers, Thyme, Spinach, Kiwis, Brocolli, Brussels Sprouts, Lemon, Strawberries, Papayas and Oranges.

Moreover, Vitamin C supplement in your routine supports immune resilience too.

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 is one of the essential supplements that one can take to boost your focus and concentration level. It is proved essential for healthy nerve function (a fast-firing brain) and overall body’s performance.

A scientific report proved that low vitamin D3 levels could lead to ‘impaired cognitive function’, low energy and even depression in severe cases.

Unluckily, the majority of the people living in western society have a Vitamin D3 deficiency.

Especially for vegetarians and vegans, the risk of a vitamin D deficiency is high.

Magnesium

Magnesium is an essential mineral that we all need to take a supplement daily.

In recent research, it has been shown that magnesium supplements help in healthy bone mass, higher performance during exercise, and improves blood sugar regulation.

Moreover, magnesium helps in several chemical reactions that occur in the body.

Magnesium also aids in less stress, less antsiness and less static throughout the body.

It is also essential for converting many B vitamins into their active form and has been proven to improve long-term memory.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids

Omega 3 fatty acids are a powerhouse of vitamins, and that’s why it is essential to add them to the diet daily. It helps optimize many functions in the body like your sight, heart, liver fat, and the list.

It is beneficial for cognitive functions as well. It is also shown that Omega 3 Fatty Acids improve attention span, memory, and speed of neural transfer and ability to complete tasks efficiently.

Furthermore, some studies even show that these acids are more potent than Prozac and even directly affect your brain size.

B Vitamins

The B Vitamins are also known for improving energy, focus, and concentration. They are involved in almost everything from conversions of nutrients into neurotransmitters like serotonin to proper mitochondrial function.

Moreover, B vitamins will give you more energy, resilience, and even more cognitive capabilities.

People with a deficiency in B vitamins have been demonstrated to have slower learning abilities, decreased energy, and are more prone to distractions.
